NTA will conduct the NEET (UG) – 2024 as per the Schedule provided in the Information at a Glance for admission to MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BSMS, BUMS, and BHMS Courses, in accordance with the relevant norms/guidelines/regulations notified by the concerned Regulatory Bodies of the Indian System of Medicine in all Medical Institutions governed under this Act.
The NEET (UG) – 2024 Test pattern consists of four subjects, with each subject containing two sections. Section A comprises 35 questions, while Section B has 15 questions, of which candidates can choose to attempt any 10. The total number of questions and time allocation remain consistent. The pattern for the NEET (UG) – 2024 Examination for admission in the Session 2024-25 is outlined as follows.
Step 1: The candidate needs to register for the Online Application Form and take note of the system-generated Application Number. While filling the Online Application Form, the candidate should provide the required details. The candidate also has to create a PASSWORD, choose a Security Question, and enter an Answer. Upon successful submission of the personal details, the system will generate an Application number. This number will be used to complete the remaining steps of the Application Form and will be required for all future reference/correspondence. For subsequent logins, the candidate can directly login using the system-generated Application Number and Password.
Step 2: The Candidates can log in using the system-generated Application Number and pre-created Password to complete the Application Form. They need to fill in personal details, choose the Question Paper medium and Examination Cities, and provide details of Educational Qualifications.
After completing Step 1 and Step 2, candidates must pay the necessary examination fee. The candidates can submit the fee online through Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card, or UPI. The concerned Bank/Payment Gateway Integrator will charge processing fees and applicable GST to the candidate in addition to the examination fee. The online Application Form will generate the Confirmation Page only after the candidate successfully makes the payment. If the Confirmation Page is not generated after payment of the fee, the candidate may have to approach the concerned Bank/Payment Gateway (in the helpline number and e-mail given in the Information Bulletin) to ensure the successful payment or to obtain the refund of duplicate/multiple payments.
Candidates should download, save, and print a copy of the Confirmation Page of the Application Form (which will be downloadable only after successful remittance of the fee) for future reference.
